Meet The Face Behind The Company Psychologist

I’m Dr. Angelo Valenti, proud owner of The Company Psychologist.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

After I earned my PhD. in psychology, I began my career as a college professor at Oklahoma City University. I taught there for four years but realized that working in academia was not going to be my long-term career. I applied for a position with RHR International, a psychological consulting firm, and joined their Memphis office, where I learned how to consult with businesses.

I developed a consulting relationship with a client in Nashville, and he encouraged me to move to Nashville and start my own consulting practice. That is how I established The Company Psychologist in June 1982.

Since then, my philosophy has been to provide high quality, individualized psychological consulting services to businesses. I strive to understand the unique challenges of my clients’ businesses and find solutions to their talent management issues and help them achieve success through the people they employ.

Over the years, the business has grown steadily as I have gained experience working with companies in a variety of industries, including insurance, banking, financial services, industrial distribution, healthcare, manufacturing, and private equity.

My business has been successful because I connect with executives and business owners in a straightforward and direct manner. I help them identify their talent management challenges and find solutions that meet their needs. Moreover, I am honest, responsive, decisive, passionate, and provide individual attention to my clients, thereby communicating more like a business owner than a psychologist.

I thrive on developing relationships with executives and business owners, learning about their businesses and their challenges, and finding solutions to help them grow their businesses. The most rewarding part of my work is assisting companies to bring the right people into their organizations and developing the talent within those companies.

When I am not at work, I am an avid golfer. I also love to read, spend time with my wife, children, and grandchildren, travel, watch sports, and do crossword puzzles.
